The Service Order module allows you to do this without any significant management effort. A very powerful and useful feature of the Service Order module is the automatic tracking of required response and completion dates and times for various, user-specified, types of Service Orders. Users may specify the maximum durations for the time from receipt to response, and response to completion. Then the required response time and required completion time are automatically calculated based on these maximum durations and the actual Service Order receipt time. Users may even indicate whether weekends and holidays are to be excluded from the calculations. Management can then run reports which uses these values to determine which service orders are soon to be past due, and to analyze performance by comparing required completion times to actual completion times. This functionality is a powerful asset to the maintenance manager when working to improve the performance and efficiency of an organization.
