TM2 - Metals Sampling and Assaying

All technological metals approved for listing on TM2 must conform to strict requirements on quality, shape and weight, as specified by TM2 Rules.

TM2 Samplers and Assayers are independent organisations skilled in the chemical analysis of metals and play an important role before and after technological metals are listed.


Samplers and Assayers are required to sample and evaluate the chemical quality of technology metals, which are subject to assessment before the technological metal product is approved. The evaluation must comply with the quality requirements outlined in the product specifications.


Samplers and Assayers will issue certificates of analysis based on agreed sampling procedures for technology metals to be placed on TM2 where original providence documentation may not be available.
